Initially, what we want to do is we want to find our root keywords that are the biggest opportunities. So, this means that we’ll do a competitive analysis.
Jesse’s here real quick, I just wanted to talk with you about keyword maps strategy, and tactics. Anthony, great questions in regards to the keyword mapping. So, I just wanted to touch on this a little bit. And, talk with you a little bit about what it is that we’re looking for. Initially, what we want to do is we want to find our root keywords that are the biggest opportunities. So, this means, that we’ll do a competitive analysis and take a look at everything that we’re ranking for. And then, take a look at everything that our competitors are ranking for. Also, find the keywords, the root keywords that have the highest search volume, and the lowest keyword difficulty.
00:55 – The Keyword Gap Analysis
So, this will give us the opportunity to really take a look at the gaps in the marketplace. And, to where we can take the most ground in the shortest amount of time. So, we’re going to do a top 10 list associated with that. Then, start to build out our keyword map. And, for the first three, we’re going to do our long-tail keywords. Then, we’re going to do a little bit deeper dive. Also, take a look at long-tail keywords associated with those top three keywords. So, these are questions, comments, and long-tail keywords that have high search volume. And, it’s because now what we’ve done is we’ve gotten down two tiers associated with keyword gap analysis.
01:34 – The Four Metrics of Keywords Gap Analysis
Firstly, we’re looking for gaps in the marketplace. Secondly, we’re picking our root keywords. Thirdly, we’re looking for long-tail keywords that have the same type of gaps, high search volume, and low keyword difficulty. So potentially, a low cost per click when it comes to the actual keyword itself. And then, the fourth metric that we’re looking at is the trends. Of course, we want to make sure that the keywords that we are recommending are trending up in the marketplace. So, those are the four metrics, keyword difficulty, cost-per-click, trends, and volume. And, we look at those four things to make our recommendations. So, right off the bat, we’re going to be making 30 recommendations to the customer in regard to long-tail keywords. Of course, that is built off of our competitive keyword analysis.
02:29 – Backlink Gap Analysis & Strategy
In addition, we’ll do a backlink gap analysis. And, this is in order to put together a list of backlinks that are driving PageRank. Of course, it is based on those backlinks and topics as well. So, where do those things cross in regard to keywords and backlinks? And, that’s where we begin, and that’s where we’ll build out our strategy. Then, inevitably, that’s where we’ll be able to provide the most value to our customers. So, please let me know if you have any questions about the information that I shared.
